About the Role

We are seeking a visionary and academically accomplished Vice President, Academic to lead the academic strategy and institutional learning framework for a rapidly expanding global digital education and educational technology (EdTech) organization. This leadership role will oversee academic governance, curriculum innovation, institutional partnerships, and academic quality assurance programs that support the organization’s mission to deliver world-class education through advanced digital learning platforms.

The Vice President, Academic will play a central role in shaping the future of education by guiding the development of innovative academic programs that integrate traditional academic rigor with modern digital learning methodologies. As education continues to evolve through technology-driven platforms, online degree programs, and global learning ecosystems, this role will lead initiatives that enhance academic excellence while ensuring accessibility, flexibility, and global relevance.

This executive leader will oversee multidisciplinary academic teams responsible for curriculum design, instructional innovation, faculty development, learning technologies, and academic assessment frameworks. Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Learning Officer, and product development teams, the Vice President will ensure that the organization’s academic offerings meet the highest educational standards while leveraging digital platforms that improve student engagement and learning outcomes.

The Vice President will also guide strategic collaborations with universities, research institutions, accreditation bodies, and educational partners worldwide. These partnerships will support the expansion of academic programs and enable the organization to deliver globally recognized credentials and professional learning pathways.

In addition to curriculum leadership, the Vice President will oversee academic quality assurance frameworks that ensure educational programs remain aligned with accreditation standards and evolving industry demands. This includes implementing robust evaluation systems that measure student success, program effectiveness, and institutional impact.

The role also requires a forward-thinking leader capable of integrating emerging learning technologies into academic programs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the organization’s global academic strategy aligned with institutional mission and educational innovation goals.

• Oversee curriculum development initiatives, ensuring academic programs meet international educational standards.

• Lead academic governance structures, including faculty councils, academic advisory boards, and accreditation committees.

• Establish academic quality assurance frameworks that evaluate program effectiveness and student learning outcomes.

• Guide the development of digital learning models, including online programs, hybrid learning environments, and micro-credential initiatives.

• Collaborate with instructional design teams to integrate advanced learning technologies into academic programs.

• Strengthen partnerships with universities, research institutions, and global academic organizations.

• Oversee faculty recruitment, development, and academic performance evaluation programs.

• Implement academic analytics systems that measure student engagement, retention, and program success metrics.

• Ensure academic programs remain aligned with workforce demands and emerging industry trends.

• Represent the organization in global academic forums, educational conferences, and institutional partnerships.

• Present academic strategy updates and educational performance insights to executive leadership and board members.


Job Qualifications and Requirements

• Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, or equivalent) in Education, Academic Leadership, or related discipline.

15–18+ years of progressive leadership experience in higher education administration or academic program management.

• Minimum 8–10 years in senior academic leadership roles such as dean, provost, or academic director.

• Demonstrated experience developing academic programs within universities, digital learning institutions, or EdTech platforms.

• Strong understanding of accreditation frameworks, academic governance models, and educational policy.

• Experience implementing digital learning technologies and online education programs.

• Proven ability to manage large academic teams and multidisciplinary faculty organizations.

• Experience building partnerships with universities, research institutions, and educational organizations.

• Strong analytical capabilities for evaluating academic performance metrics and learning outcomes.

• Experience aligning academic programs with industry and workforce needs.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a highly competitive executive compensation package designed to attract exceptional academic leadership talent.

Total Compensation Package: $310,000 – $465,000
