Chief Knowledge Management Officer
Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking an innovative and strategically minded Chief Knowledge Management Officer (CKMO) to lead the enterprise knowledge strategy for a globally recognized management consulting and enterprise intelligence organization that supports multinational corporations, government agencies, and institutional clients with advanced advisory, research, and strategic decision-making capabilities.
The Chief Knowledge Management Officer will serve as the executive responsible for transforming how the organization captures, organizes, shares, and leverages knowledge across its global consulting operations. As organizations increasingly rely on data-driven insights and institutional expertise to guide complex business decisions, this role will play a critical part in building a world-class knowledge ecosystem that enables consultants, analysts, and leadership teams to access critical insights quickly and effectively.
The CKMO will lead the development of enterprise knowledge platforms that integrate research insights, consulting methodologies, intellectual property frameworks, and institutional expertise into a unified digital knowledge infrastructure. Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Information Officer, and Chief Strategy Officer, the Chief Knowledge Management Officer will design and implement the organization’s global knowledge management strategy. This includes guiding initiatives that capture valuable institutional knowledge from consulting engagements, research initiatives, and strategic advisory projects, ensuring that the organization continues to build a sustainable competitive advantage through intellectual capital.
The CKMO will oversee multidisciplinary teams responsible for research knowledge systems, enterprise learning platforms, digital knowledge libraries, and data-driven insight platforms. These teams will collaborate with consultants, analysts, and industry experts to ensure the organization’s intellectual capital is effectively curated and continuously enhanced.
In addition to knowledge platform development, the Chief Knowledge Management Officer will guide the adoption of advanced technologies that improve knowledge discovery and collaboration. This includes leveraging artificial intelligence, machine learning, and natural language processing systems to organize and analyze large volumes of organizational knowledge, enabling faster access to relevant insights.
The role will also involve establishing governance frameworks that ensure the accuracy, relevance, and security of the organization’s knowledge assets. By implementing robust knowledge governance policies, the CKMO will ensure that intellectual property remains protected while maintaining transparency and accessibility for internal stakeholders.
Another key aspect of the role will involve fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration across the organization. The CKMO will develop initiatives that encourage consultants and experts to contribute insights, share best practices, and collaborate across global offices, strengthening the firm’s collective expertise.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in knowledge management leadership, research strategy, or information governance within global consulting firms, professional services organizations, or enterprise technology companies. This individual must possess strong strategic thinking capabilities, a deep understanding of digital knowledge platforms, and the leadership skills necessary to manage large global knowledge ecosystems.
Ultimately, the Chief Knowledge Management Officer will play a transformative role in enabling the organization to leverage its collective expertise more effectively, empowering professionals to deliver exceptional insights and solutions for clients around the world.
