The Chief Fulfillment Officer (CFOO) serves as the executive leader responsible for overseeing end-to-end fulfillment operations, ensuring seamless order accuracy, speed, quality, and customer satisfaction. This role champions operational innovation, automation strategies, network optimization, and digital transformation within fulfillment.

This position is ideal for a senior operations executive who thrives in complex, high-velocity environments and can build world-class fulfillment capabilities that scale with global demand.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership over all fulfillment, warehousing, logistics, and distribution functions across multiple regions.

  • Develop and execute long-term strategies to enhance fulfillment speed, accuracy, cost efficiency, and customer experience.

  • Oversee operational performance metrics, including order cycle time, delivery SLAs, inventory accuracy, and quality standards.

  • Lead automation strategies using WMS, robotics, AI-driven optimization, and digital operations tools.

  • Strengthen network capacity planning and evaluate expansion opportunities based on market growth forecasts.

  • Partner with Supply Chain, Technology, Finance, and Customer Operations to align fulfillment priorities with enterprise objectives.

  • Direct continuous improvement programs (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) to enhance throughput and reduce operational waste.

  • Manage vendor relationships and 3PL partners to ensure adherence to performance expectations and contract requirements.

  • Oversee workforce planning, talent development, and leadership capability within fulfillment teams.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational governance requirements.


Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in fulfillment, supply chain operations, logistics, or distribution within enterprise environments.

  • Proven track record leading large-scale fulfillment networks or multi-site operations.

  • Deep understanding of WMS platforms, automation technologies, robotics integration, and digital fulfillment tools.

  • Experience with forecasting, operational modeling, capacity planning, and network optimization.

  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets and performance models.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business is preferred.

  • Exceptional communication skills and demonstrated success in cross-functional leadership roles.

  • Collaborate with Product and Technology teams to enhance digital-first fulfillment capabilities.

  • Represent fulfillment operations in board-level discussions and strategic planning sessions.


Working Conditions

  • Remote leadership role with periodic travel to fulfillment centers, distribution hubs, regional operations, and executive summits.

  • Requires flexibility to collaborate with teams across various time zones.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $389,000 – $458,000
