As we scale into new markets, expand regulated product offerings, and strengthen public-market readiness, we are seeking a strategic and technically exceptional Chief Accounting Officer to lead global accounting governance, financial reporting integrity, and regulatory compliance at enterprise scale.
This is not a controller role. This is an executive financial stewardship mandate.
Job Function
The Chief Accounting Officer will oversee global accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, technical accounting policy, regulatory reporting, and audit governance across multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction operations.
This executive will ensure financial transparency, compliance with international accounting standards, and operational rigor in a high-growth fintech environment subject to evolving regulatory scrutiny.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead global accounting operations across multi-entity international structures

Oversee the preparation and integrity of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP / IFRS

Direct global consolidation processes across multiple jurisdictions

Establish and maintain a strong internal control environment (SOX compliance, where applicable)

Guide technical accounting analysis for complex fintech transactions (revenue recognition, digital assets, derivatives, etc.)

Oversee regulatory financial reporting requirements across global financial authorities

Partner with external auditors and manage global audit processes

Drive automation and modernization of financial reporting systems

Develop and enforce accounting policies across business units and subsidiaries

Oversee treasury accounting alignment with payment settlement operations

Lead accounting support during capital raises, IPO readiness, or debt issuances

Manage and mentor a global accounting organization (150+ professionals)

Ensure accurate tax coordination in partnership with global tax leadership
Strategic Support

Advise the CFO and CEO on financial risk exposure and accounting implications of strategic initiatives

Support M&A due diligence, purchase accounting, and post-acquisition integration

Contribute to capital markets readiness and investor reporting transparency

Strengthen governance frameworks aligned with global financial regulations

Collaborate with Product and Operations teams on financial system scalability

Support international expansion into new regulated markets
Job Qualifications and Requirements

15+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience
-
8+ years in fintech, financial services, payments, or regulated financial environments

Proven experience leading global accounting operations in multi-billion-dollar organizations

Deep knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS standards

Strong understanding of revenue recognition (ASC 606) and complex financial instruments

Experience managing SOX compliance and internal control frameworks

Demonstrated success in preparing organizations for IPO or public-company reporting preferred

CPA required; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred

Experience leading large, global accounting teams

Compensation & Benefits
Total Executive Compensation Package: $320,000 – $413,000 USD
