As Sales Director, you will have the unique opportunity to define sales strategy, build high-performing teams, and influence enterprise partnerships at the national and global level, driving both revenue growth and customer success.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Sales Leadership: Develop and execute national and regional sales strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth.

  • Customer Acquisition & Retention: Build and manage executive-level relationships with key clients, ensuring long-term partnerships and satisfaction.

  • Market Expansion: Identify new market opportunities, channels, and verticals for growth.

  • Revenue Accountability: Consistently achieve or exceed quarterly and annual revenue and profitability targets.

  • Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and lead high-performing sales teams, fostering a culture of accountability and success.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Finance, and Product teams to align sales execution with organizational objectives.

  • Sales Enablement: Implement tools, analytics, and training programs to optimize salesforce performance.

  • Executive Reporting: Provide accurate forecasts, pipeline updates, and business reviews to the CEO, CRO, and Board of Directors.


Qualifications, Special Knowledge, Education and Abilities

  • 15+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, with at least 7+ years in director or executive roles.

  • Proven track record in technology, SaaS, or enterprise solutions industries within Fortune 500 or global organizations.

  • Deep expertise in consultative selling, enterprise account management, and revenue growth strategies.

  • Strong knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics platforms.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA strongly preferred.

  • Exceptional executive presence with strong influencing, negotiation, and Board-level communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-region sales teams in highly competitive industries.


Strategic Support

The Sales Director serves as a strategic advisor to the CRO and executive leadership, ensuring sales strategies directly support growth and profitability. Key contributions include:

  • Advising on capital allocation for sales expansion, enablement tools, and digital transformation.

  • Supporting M&A activities by integrating acquired sales teams and accounts into the national framework.

  • Partnering with Product and Marketing to shape go-to-market strategies that align with customer needs.

  • Embedding ESG principles by promoting sustainable sales practices and diverse talent pipelines.


Working Conditions

  • Remote role with regular travel to client sites, regional offices, and leadership summits.

  • Requires flexibility across time zones to manage national and global accounts.

  • High-visibility leadership role with direct accountability for sales performance and revenue growth.
