Job Description
About the Role
This is not a maintenance PM role and not a feature-factory position. As a Senior Product Manager in our AI-driven healthcare platform, you will operate at the intersection of clinical intelligence, machine learning systems, and patient-centric product design. You’ll own high-impact product domains that directly influence diagnostic workflows, predictive care models, and real-time clinical decision support used by healthcare providers globally.
You will be responsible for shaping products that ingest complex datasets (EHRs, imaging, genomics), transform them into actionable insights, and deliver them through intuitive, reliable, and compliant user experiences. This role demands both strategic foresight and operational precision, balancing regulatory constraints, technical feasibility, and user trust.
Unlike traditional PM roles, success here is measured not just in engagement metrics but in measurable improvements in patient outcomes, clinician efficiency, and healthcare system cost optimization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Own the full product lifecycle for AI-powered healthcare solutions from concept through scaled deployment in clinical environments
- Define and evolve product vision aligned with clinical impact, regulatory compliance, and business growth objectives
- Collaborate deeply with machine learning engineers, data scientists, clinicians, and regulatory experts to translate complex requirements into scalable product solutions
- Lead product discovery efforts involving healthcare providers, hospital systems, and patient advocacy groups
- Develop detailed product requirement documents (PRDs) that account for data privacy laws (HIPAA/GDPR-equivalent frameworks), interoperability (FHIR standards), and clinical validation
- Drive experimentation frameworks for validating model performance and user experience in real-world healthcare settings
- Manage trade-offs between model accuracy, explainability, and usability in high-stakes environments
- Influence executive leadership through data-backed product strategies and roadmap prioritization
- Ensure seamless integration with hospital IT systems and third-party platforms
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- 6–10+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in AI/ML-driven or healthcare technology products
- Proven track record of launching complex, data-intensive products at scale
- Strong understanding of machine learning lifecycle, model deployment, and data pipelines
- Experience working with healthcare data systems (EHRs, HL7, FHIR, or equivalent frameworks) is highly preferred
- Ability to navigate regulated environments with compliance and privacy considerations
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MS in Data Science, or related field) strongly preferred
Personal Capabilities and Qualifications
- Exceptional systems thinking can connect clinical needs, technical constraints, and user experience seamlessly
- High tolerance for ambiguity with a bias toward structured problem-solving
- Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical domains
- Ability to challenge assumptions constructively and advocate for product excellence
- Deep curiosity about the future of healthcare, AI ethics, and human-centered design
- Resilience and adaptability in a fast-evolving, high-stakes industry
Strategic Support
- Partner with executive leadership to define long-term product strategy in emerging healthcare markets
- Support go-to-market strategies by aligning product capabilities with payer/provider needs
- Contribute to thought leadership in AI healthcare innovation, including whitepapers and industry panels
- Guide investment decisions related to product innovation and platform expansion
- Mentor junior product managers and contribute to building a high-performance product organization
Working Conditions
- Hybrid work model with distributed global teams
- Frequent collaboration across time zones (US, Europe, APAC healthcare systems)
- Occasional travel to healthcare institutions, industry conferences, and partner sites
- High accountability environment where product decisions directly impact real-world health outcomes
