We are seeking a highly organized and analytically driven Production Planner to manage production schedules, coordinate manufacturing resources, and ensure efficient production flow across our operations.

This role plays a critical part in maintaining manufacturing efficiency and ensuring that production operations remain aligned with demand forecasts, inventory requirements, and delivery commitments.


Job Function

The Production Planner is responsible for developing and managing production schedules that ensure manufacturing operations operate efficiently while meeting customer demand and inventory targets.

This role works closely with manufacturing operations, supply chain teams, procurement departments, and logistics functions to maintain balanced production workflows and efficient resource utilization.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules across multiple manufacturing lines and product categories.

  • Coordinate closely with manufacturing operations teams to ensure production schedules align with plant capacity and operational constraints.

  • Analyze demand forecasts, inventory levels, and production requirements to optimize manufacturing output.

  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to accommodate operational changes or supply chain disruptions.

  • Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components required for production.

  • Maintain accurate planning data within enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

  • Identify production bottlenecks and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and throughput.

  • Support inventory optimization by aligning production output with warehouse capacity and distribution needs.

  • Monitor key performance indicators related to production efficiency, schedule adherence, and capacity utilization.

  • Prepare production reports and planning updates for manufacturing leadership.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving manufacturing performance.

  • Coordinate with logistics teams to align production completion with shipment schedules.


Strategic Support

  • Support the Director of Manufacturing Operations in developing long-term production planning strategies.

  • Assist with the implementation of digital manufacturing systems and automated planning tools.

  • Contribute to capacity planning initiatives for facility expansion and new product introductions.

  • Support supply chain optimization initiatives that improve manufacturing responsiveness.

  • Participate in cross-functional planning meetings involving procurement, logistics, and operations teams.

  • Assist with risk mitigation planning related to supply disruptions or production constraints.


Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in production planning, manufacturing operations, or supply chain planning roles.

  • Experience working within manufacturing environments such as industrial production, automotive manufacturing, aerospace manufacturing, or industrial technology sectors.

  • Strong experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar production planning tools.

  • Solid understanding of manufacturing workflows, inventory management, and supply chain coordination.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability for managing complex production schedules.

  • Ability to interpret demand forecasts and translate them into operational production plans.

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across operations and supply chain departments.

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.

Compensation & Benefits

Total Compensation Package: $105,000 – $190,000 USD
