Job Description

About the Company

We are a global hyperscale cloud and AI infrastructure provider powering mission-critical workloads for Fortune 100 enterprises, sovereign governments, financial institutions, and next-generation AI platforms. Our infrastructure supports exabyte-scale data flows, ultra-low latency compute clusters, and multi-region high-availability architectures across 60+ data centers worldwide.

As AI training clusters, real-time financial systems, and autonomous platforms demand near-zero downtime and deterministic network performance, our backbone architecture must operate at unprecedented scale, speed, and security.

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, optimize, and future-proof the high-performance global network fabric that supports next-generation AI workloads, advanced edge computing, and hyperscale cloud services.

This is not an operations-only role. This is a deep technical architecture and scale engineering position.

Job Function

The Senior Network Engineer will lead the design, implementation, automation, and optimization of multi-region, multi-terabit global network infrastructure supporting AI clusters, private cloud environments, and mission-critical enterprise services.

The role requires deep expertise in routing protocols, data center spine-leaf architectures, automation frameworks, network security segmentation, and high-availability design at a global scale.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Architect and deploy high-throughput spine-leaf data center network fabrics (100G/400G/800G environments)

  • Design multi-region global backbone connectivity with ultra-low latency SLAs

  • Lead BGP, OSPF, EVPN-VXLAN, and MPLS architecture and optimization initiatives

  • Engineer deterministic network performance for AI/ML compute clusters

  • Develop infrastructure-as-code network automation using Python, Ansible, Terraform

  • Implement zero-trust segmentation and secure east-west traffic models

  • Optimize traffic engineering and routing convergence strategies

  • Lead network capacity planning and growth forecasting for multi-exabyte traffic environments

  • Conduct failure-domain analysis and implement high-availability redundancy strategies

  • Integrate DDoS mitigation and advanced network security frameworks

  • Partner with Cloud Engineering, SRE, and Security teams on platform reliability

  • Lead incident response for critical network events and root cause analysis

  • Evaluate next-gen networking technologies (SRv6, 800G optics, programmable fabrics)

Strategic Support

  • Contribute to long-term global infrastructure roadmap planning

  • Support the expansion of AI hyperscale data centers across new geographic regions

  • Provide architectural consultation for enterprise and sovereign cloud deployments

  • Advise executive leadership on network risk mitigation and resilience strategy

  • Support M&A integration of acquired network environments

  • Participate in cross-functional innovation initiatives related to AI and edge computing

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in large-scale network engineering

  • 5+ years in hyperscale cloud, global ISP, AI data center, or Tier 1 infrastructure environments

  • Deep expertise in BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, MPLS, OSPF, and traffic engineering

  • Proven experience operating in 100G/400G+ environments

  • Hands-on experience with Arista, Cisco Nexus, Juniper, or equivalent enterprise platforms

  • Strong background in network automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform)

  • Experience with observability and telemetry platforms (NetFlow, Prometheus, Grafana)

  • Knowledge of DDoS mitigation and network security segmentation

  • Experience in high-availability, fault-tolerant system design

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or related field

  • CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent expert-level certifications preferred

Personal Capabilities and Qualifications

  • Systems-level thinking with the ability to design at a global scale

  • Strong analytical troubleshooting and deep root-cause capabilities

  • Precision under pressure in mission-critical outage scenarios

  • Collaborative mindset with strong cross-functional communication

  • Forward-thinking approach to infrastructure modernization

  • High ownership mentality with accountability for uptime and performance

  • Curiosity-driven technical depth and commitment to continuous learning

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid executive engineering model (on-site data center access required periodically)

  • Participation in a global on-call rotation for Tier-1 infrastructure

  • 15–25% international travel for data center deployments and infrastructure audits

  • High-performance, high-availability environment where uptime is mission-critical

  • Exposure to multi-region global operations

Compensation & Benefits

Total Compensation Range: $320,000 – $405,000 USD (based on experience, region, and technical depth)

Package Includes:

  • Competitive base salary

  • Performance-based annual bonus

  • Long-term equity/stock participation program

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage

  • Executive wellness and mental health programs

  • 401(k) or global retirement plans with employer match

  • Global mobility and relocation assistance

  • Advanced certification and training sponsorship

  • Generous PTO and global holiday structure
