About the Role

In enterprise organizations, strategic accounts are not simply customers; they are long-term growth partners whose success directly shapes revenue durability, market credibility, and expansion potential. We are seeking a Director of Strategic Accounts to lead and scale the management of the company’s most complex, high-value enterprise relationships.

This role is designed for a senior commercial leader who understands how to grow revenue through trust, execution excellence, and long-term value creation. The Director of Strategic Accounts will own a portfolio of top-tier enterprise clients, ensuring alignment across sales, customer success, product, and executive leadership to deliver consistent outcomes.

You will act as the primary executive point of accountability for strategic accounts, driving retention, expansion, and multi-year growth while navigating complex stakeholder environments. This includes shaping account strategy, managing executive relationships, and ensuring that customer priorities influence internal decision-making.

This is not a quota-only role. It is a mandate to build strategic account management as an enterprise-grade growth discipline, one that converts customer trust into sustained revenue, advocacy, and long-term partnership.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and own a portfolio of the organization’s most strategic enterprise accounts.

  • Define and execute multi-year account strategies focused on retention, expansion, and value realization.

  • Serve as the senior executive point of contact for key customer stakeholders.

  • Drive account planning, growth forecasting, and performance reviews.

  • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing to deliver integrated account outcomes.

  • Identify expansion opportunities, including upsell, cross-sell, and solution adoption.

  • Manage complex negotiations, renewals, and executive-level escalations.

  • Establish KPIs for account health, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction.

  • Represent customer priorities internally to influence roadmap and service strategy.

  • Build and mentor high-performing strategic account managers and leaders.


Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • 12–15+ years of experience in strategic accounts, enterprise sales, or client leadership roles.

  • Proven success in managing and growing large, complex enterprise customer portfolios.

  • Strong background in enterprise B2B, SaaS, or technology-enabled services.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive long-term revenue growth and retention.

  • Experience working with C-suite and senior customer executives.

  • Strong financial and commercial acumen related to enterprise accounts.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Provide leadership with insight into customer trends and competitive dynamics.
