About the Role

The Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer (CDIO) is a critical member of the executive leadership team, responsible for embedding DEI principles into the fabric of our culture, operations, leadership systems, and business strategy.

This role goes far beyond compliance or program management. The CDIO serves as a strategic architect and enterprise change leader, shaping how inclusion informs talent strategy, leadership development, innovation, customer engagement, and global expansion. You will operate with significant autonomy, executive sponsorship, and board-level visibility.

The ideal candidate is an experienced executive who can translate values into action, designing scalable frameworks, influencing senior leaders, and driving measurable progress across a complex, multinational organization.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the enterprise-wide Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategy aligned with corporate objectives.

  • Partner with the CEO, executive team, and Board of Directors on DEI vision, governance, and accountability.

  • Embed inclusive practices across talent acquisition, development, promotion, and succession planning.

  • Establish metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to track DEI progress and impact.

  • Oversee global DEI programs, employee resource groups, and inclusive leadership initiatives.

  • Drive culture transformation through education, storytelling, and leadership engagement.

  • Ensure compliance with global regulatory, reporting, and ESG requirements related to DEI.

  • Serve as an internal and external thought leader on diversity, equity, and inclusion.


Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in DEI, human capital strategy, or organizational transformation.

  • Proven executive-level experience leading enterprise-scale DEI initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of global workforce dynamics, labor practices, and cultural inclusion.

  • Experience working directly with Boards, executive committees, and senior stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Organizational Development, HR, Public Policy, or related field preferred.

  • Demonstrated success driving measurable change across large, complex organizations.

  • Support ESG, employer brand, and corporate reputation initiatives.

  • Partner with HR, Legal, Communications, and Operations to integrate DEI into core processes.

  • Represent the organization in external forums, partnerships, and industry initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base and Total Cash Compensation: $292,000 – $395,000
